  1. What format do you propose to use to create an ESting? (e.g., stop-frame techniques - with people/models/objects etc. Claymation / Lego, time lapse photography, combined formats).
We are creating a stop-motion animation with people and objects. With Toby and Reuben as the main characters.
  2. What will happen in your proposed ESting? Write a very brief narrative summary describing the action.
Our ESting is going to be based around Mortal Kombat; a game originally based around a 2D fighting game. The two characters; Toby and Rueben are going to be fighting performing flips and stunts. To make this possible, we are going to create an illusion where it appears the characters are standing up above the ground where in actual facts they are lying on the floor. To do this the camera will be positioned above from a height facing towards the floor. At some point, Toby or Reuben incorporate the E4 logo by using it as a weapon to hit somebody, that same person wins the fight and celebrates.
  3. In regards to diegesis, where will your animation be set? This relates to the setting and not your shooting locations.
We will use a green screen which will hide our actual location, we will be set on an alleyway with the camera facing the wall.
  4. Are there (and do you predict there will be) any limitations or difficulties to face whe n you produce your ESting? Think about competence, finance, locations, resources and practicality.
It may be hard to combine the footage from what we've filmed on the green screen to what we have as a background without it looking fake however if we set our lighting right we might be able to pull this off.
  5. Who is the target audience for your ESting? Think about age, gender and interests/tastes.
Teenagers - people who have a nostalgia for 90s video games.
